Directions to Dalswinton from either the M5 / A30 / A303

Follow the A30 into Cornwall - not the A38.

There is a new stretch of road between Bodmin/Innis Downs and Indian Queens (opened in summer 2007) which, hopefully, will reduce the infamous traffic congestion in this area!

At Indian Queens, turn off the A30, following signs to Newquay airport.

You will join up with the A39 for a short while until you come to a roundabout near Trekenning campsite. Take the first exit, (A3059) following signs to Newquay airport.

Just past a petrol station and Mace mini-market (on your right), take the right-hand turn, following the signs to St. Mawgan village and brown signs to the Japanese Garden.

If you pass Newquay airport on your left you have gone too far! Turn back and take the wide left hand turn just after the Smugglers Inn.

Down the hill into the village, with the Falcon Inn public house on your right and the Church on your left.

The main road bends sharply to the right and crosses over the river, with the Japanese Garden / Bonsai nursery then on your left.

Drive past a row of houses on both sides of the road and as the road goes uphill and bends to the left as it passes the last cottage take a very sharp, steep right hand turn – 1st gear essential at this point – and then after a very short time the road bends sharply left, but you should turn right here (beware oncoming traffic) just to the left of a small 30mph sign facing away from you. Continue down a dip and then up the hill for about 600 yards.

You will see the side of a white house coming up on the left and just before this house you will find our driveway on the right hand side. Please note that Dalswinton is a concealed entrance but there are green signs on both sides of it.  Follow the drive past the back of the main house and park in the marked areas to the front of the conservatory. The front door is located at the far end of the conservatory. If there is not anyone in attendance please ring the service bell located on the right beside the office doorway.

Please take care as you approach the house as there will very likely be dogs strolling around!

Rooms are usually ready no earlier than 2pm (14H00hrs) on arrival day.

Safe journey!
